Family Health Centers of San Diego
As the Community Relations Specialist at Family Health Centers of San Diego, my role encompassed a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing our organization's outreach and impact within the community.

Primarily, I was tasked with overseeing all fundraising and development initiatives, community relations efforts, and advocacy endeavors. This involved conducting research and monitoring key healthcare legislation relevant to our operations and the communities we served.

In addition to strategic planning, I was deeply involved in executing marketing campaigns, organizing events, and managing all fundraising activities. This included cultivating relationships with more than 30 sponsors, actively seeking out new sponsorship opportunities, and increasing our funding streams.

Furthermore, I served as the primary point of contact for community issues and spearheaded the coordination of our bi-monthly Spirit of the Barrio events. These events served as significant community gatherings where I facilitated discussions with various stakeholders, ranging from local entities like the ownership of the San Diego Padres to CDC experts and healthcare professionals. Through these discussions, we aimed to educate and empower our community on pertinent healthcare topics, such as mental health care during COVID-19 and updates on new variants.

Additionally, I took on the responsibility of tracking and monitoring key healthcare-related legislation, including policies concerning telemedicine, Medicare, and Medicaid. Furthermore, I oversaw the licensing and government relations of the 50+ clinics operated by our organization across San Diego County. This encompassed managing the opening, licensure, and application processes for several new clinics, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating seamless operations.


AREAA
As Manager at AREAA, I oversaw all aspects of our digital marketing, social media, external communications, policy research, advocacy, lobbying, and advertising efforts.

Two of the most significant projects I spearheaded are:

1. The Three-Point Policy Plan
An annual research-intensive policy campaign aimed at communicating and emphasizing our three central policy initiatives for the year. This comprehensive document serves as our boilerplate language, training guide, and condensed version for our over 17,000 members to utilize in advocating to their representatives at the local, state, and federal levels of government.

2. The State of Asia America Report
Our flagship project has catalyzed substantial change and progress. In the past, Asian Americans were not designated as a distinct category in the U.S. Census and were only included as 'Other'. The impact of our work led to the inclusion of Asian Americans in the Census. Sponsored by major partners such as RE/MAX and Freddie Mac, the SAA Report is distributed to all our 17,000+ members across 41 chapter locations nationwide.

This extensive content project is unveiled at our annual National Convention and is utilized by leaders in the housing and financial markets, government officials, regulatory agencies, Fortune 500 companies, and thought leaders nationwide. The report offers invaluable insights into Asian Americans from coast to coast, featuring data collected in partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau. It covers population statistics, spending habits, geographic mobility, housing trends, and much more.


Circa Interactive
During my tenure at Circa Interactive, the nation's premier enrollment marketing agency for top colleges and universities, I spent time working on a groundbreaking content marketing project as part of Maryville University's multi-million dollar marketing campaign. This comprehensive initiative encompassed television, print, and an extensive digital outreach tailored to diverse target demographics. My role centered on crafting and executing the content strategy, a pivotal component of this expansive campaign.

Given the scale of the project, our agency engaged freelance talent to generate content, while I directed the outreach, link-building, growth, and strategic placement of materials—a role integral to shaping our content strategy. Our approach involved meticulous audience analysis, identifying prospective candidates seeking to further their education, whether returning students or career advancement seekers. Subsequently, we tailored content to meet their unique needs, offering valuable insights and information.

This endeavor yielded over 25 articles, blogs, infographics, and other media assets. Our agency landed our client major placements across the media, including PR placements with NBC News, The Huffington Post, and The Balance. From empowering stay-at-home parents to pursue post-graduate degrees to assisting military personnel in completing their education, our content was meticulously researched and targeted. The success of our campaign was evident in the significant influx of college applications it generated, underscoring its effectiveness in promoting Maryville University's programs.


Mariners Church
As the Copywriter and Content Curator at one of the largest churches and nonprofits in North America, I managed an extensive array of tasks, overseeing copywriting, editing, social media, and various content formats that reached hundreds of thousands of community members globally. My responsibilities included serving as the primary writer, crafting speeches for executives, maintaining website content, editing printed materials produced in large quantities weekly, and spearheading major campaigns such as the launch of our multi-million dollar Community Center.

I also introduced innovative technologies and media strategies to enhance communication and marketing efforts. For instance, I implemented custom-made filters for social media platforms, incorporating geocached parameters for special occasions like Father’s and Mother’s Day weekends. Collaborating closely with design and arts teams, I provided consultation and cross-collaborated to over 20 departments within the organization.

Operating within a high-volume copywriting framework, I managed numerous communication and media verticals, all while serving a diverse community of hundreds of thousands of members.

Astrology Answers
With nearly a decade of experience as a freelance copywriter and content strategist, I've had the privilege of collaborating with some of the nation's premier digital marketing and content agencies, many of which have been recognized with prestigious awards.

Among my notable projects, I had the opportunity to contribute significantly to a prominent astrology website, consistently achieving high rankings on Google's first page for astrology-related searches.

One of the most exhilarating experiences during my tenure was spearheading a comprehensive content campaign that required me to step out of my comfort zone and immerse myself in a subject matter that was entirely new to me: astrology. Despite the initial unfamiliarity, delving into this field was incredibly rewarding. It demanded a blend of creative writing and strategic thinking, prompting me to explore unconventional angles and approaches to engage with the audience effectively.

This initiative encompassed the development of detailed content exploration maps tailored to each of the 12 zodiac signs. Picture 12 distinct content campaigns, each representing a unique brand or personality. For every 'brand' or zodiac sign, I meticulously researched and crafted content covering diverse topics such as financial matters, relationships, career guidance, and beyond. The process involved a significant amount of creative brainstorming and imaginative thinking, as I endeavored to infuse each piece with originality and flair.

Moreover, as a regular contributor to the platform, I embraced the challenge of continuously generating fresh and captivating content. From crafting engaging blog posts to crafting informative articles and thought-provoking features, I relished the opportunity to explore the depths of astrology while honing my creative writing skills.

Overall, while venturing into the realm of astrology initially felt daunting, it ultimately proved to be an incredibly enjoyable and enriching experience. It not only allowed me to expand my skill set but also provided me with the satisfaction of delivering impactful content that resonated with the audience on a profound level.
